The Bethlehem All Age School Alumni Association was established in the year 2000 with the primary objective of raising funds to support the Bethlehem All Age School in Malvern, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Initially, our fundraising efforts focused on providing essential resources such as computers and desks for the school. Over time, we have been fortunate to receive significant support from our extended network of family, friends, and alumni, enabling us to expand our efforts to include the provision of scholarships. As a result, our organization is proud to offer annual scholarships to ten deserving students from low-income backgrounds who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance.
We conduct a fundraising raffle where tickets are available for purchase by our organization's supporters from April to August. The winning tickets are drawn and announced during our annual Bethlehem picnic. It's important to note that as a non-profit organization, all proceeds from the raffle go directly towards providing student scholarships and supporting the financial needs of Bethlehem All Age School.
The annual Bethlehem picnic is a beloved tradition that takes place every August. This event brings together our organization and its supporters, offering a wonderful opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the achievements of the previous year. Additionally, the picnic serves as a reunion for former Bethlehem students, allowing them to reconnect with old classmates. Exciting activities, delicious food, lively music, and engaging games are all part of this joyous occasion. Furthermore, we host an eagerly-anticipated annual raffle with the chance to win an array of fantastic prizes.
